Founder Story
We embarked on an extraordinary journey when we founded Graceland Schools in 2006, fueled by our unwavering passion for education and a deep desire to make a lasting impact on young lives. After two decades of dedicated teaching and acquiring invaluable knowledge, we made the courageous decision to step away from the comfort of our teaching jobs and create something truly remarkable.
Our humble beginnings remind us of the boundless determination and resourcefulness we possessed. In those early days, we transformed two bedrooms in our own house into dormitories to accommodate just 15 girls who believed in our vision. With unwavering commitment, we poured our hearts into shaping their futures, providing them with not only a nurturing environment but also a strong academic foundation.
In 2009, as the first candidate class of Graceland Schools sat their KCSE exams, we witnessed their incredible achievements, obtaining an average mean of 5.9. It was a proud moment for us, knowing that our unconventional approach to education was yielding remarkable results. Fuelled by this success, we embarked on a mission to continuously improve and enhance the educational experience we offered.
Over the years, Graceland Schools blossomed into a center of excellence, renowned for its academic brilliance and holistic approach to education. The positive reviews and increasing appreciation from our community encouraged us to take yet another leap of faith. It was then that we decided to establish Graceland Primary School, encompassing both a coed nursery and a primary school.
Equipped with an ever-expanding repertoire of managerial knowledge and experiences, we embarked on a quest to seek out the most exceptional teachers across the country. We knew that the key to providing the best possible education to our students lay in the hands of these dedicated professionals. With their unwavering support and commitment, we established an environment where young minds flourished, talents were nurtured, and dreams were realized.
Today, as we reflect on our remarkable journey, we are humbled by the transformative power of education and the impact we have made on countless lives.
